Step 1.

The first step involves collecting the details of your construction or renovation project. You can start by completing our Quote Request form here. We then review and evaluate your form - the details and scale of your project - and put together an agenda complete with questions we might have on gaps missing from your form. We then schedule an initial Consultation.

Step 2.

The consultation meeting will consist of getting to know each other. If it is renovation, walking through the space is quite helpful to put your likes and wants into perspective. We will discuss the aesthetics and finishing what you are looking for. This helps with your budget planning and our project scope. We will ask questions about what you want, give our input based on what we see, and assess your space. We need to take a detailed look, taking into account everything from the overall layout to the utilities inside the walls, and we take measurements. If you plan to move one wall, we need to know how that affects the rest of the structure, We like to do a very thorough look, to give you the most accurate bid possible, which limits the number of surprise expenses during the project.

Step 3.

After our consultation meeting, we create our first ballpark estimation. Though not 100% accurate, this will give you a general idea of the project cost and will help you determine whether you stay on track, add or subtract to your vision.

Our firm quote won’t change once it’s been calculated, and encompasses all costs. If you decide that we are the right company for you, we will create a comprehensive contract, and bring it to you so that every term and condition is agreed upon and discussed before the contract is signed.

Step 4.

After the required demolition is complete, we like to do a walk through with our clients to show them the bare structure. We map out the future space so they have an opportunity to visualize, and get a feel for the new design. It’s not uncommon for us to discover areas where previous home owners or handymen cut corners in the past. Often these can be easily rectified without incurring any additional cost. Sometimes, however, the repairs needed can be substantial which may impact the the project’s cost. As such, we do include in our scope a percentage for contingencies so that you can be prepared budget wise.

Step 5.

During the construction process, we meet with our clients many times. This usually happens on site, so we can walk through the progress while discussing details. A lot of our value comes from keeping clear, open lines of communication, and we take pride in the availability that we provide our clients with. As this is a collaboration, your voice is no less important than ours or the subcontractors performing the various levels of skilled labour. As we move toward completion, you can be as involved in the process as you like, and we will adapt to find ways to properly keep you in the loop.

Step 6.

Once the job has been completed, our work is still not done.
